Learning Environment

The Montessori classroom is a prepared environment that promotes children’s independence through learning and engaging with purposeful materials. The centre and each respective classroom is carefully set up to accommodate the 5 curriculum areas in a Montessori prepared environment: Practical Life, Sensorial, Literacy, Mathematics and Culture.

Children have a natural passion for learning and the Montessori classroom supports this by providing opportunities to engage in purposeful activities with guidance from the educators.

The educators are calm, consistent and caring. Their role is to observe and facilitate their learning journey. Children become independent, confident learners with a sense of community awareness. The prepared environment is clean, ordered and has a sense of purpose.
